HKM MSSIL Now Awardable in the DARPA ERIS Marketplace

The Mobile Secure Space Integration Lab has been certified Awardable in the DARPA Expedited Research Innovation System Marketplace, opening a rapid acquisition pathway for interested government parties.

HKM Enterprises, Inc. announced today that its Mobile Secure Space Integration Lab is now Awardable in the DARPA Expedited Research Innovation System (ERIS) Marketplace. The Awardable status certifies that ALS’s solution has passed a competitive technical review, making it eligible for rapid, post-competitive acquisition by interested government parties. The designation provides a rapid acquisition pathway for those parties to leverage that awardable status into an award.

Mobile Secure Space Integration Lab is a transportable secure laboratory enabling commercial or classified high-cadence integration, assembly, and processing at any site. MSSIL rapidly scales payload integration capacity and Space Vehicle (SV) responsive launch when and where needed.

The US outer space supply chain is facing challenges. Non-traditional manufacturing businesses and university innovation centers are often unable to participate in government programs due to a lack of access to secure integration laboratories. And the SV supply chain is facing an extreme lack of payload processing facilities, making launch centers access-to-space choke points. Improving the capability and reliability of the outer space supply chain has been identified as a national security priority.

Our solution solves both the need for classified payload manufacturing and the need to rapidly increase SV processing capacity at launch sites. MSSIL incorporates MOSA interfaces accommodating Mission Kits that turn each secure intermodal container chassis into a manufacturing, payload integration, or mission control center. MSSIL can be rapidly deployed, transported using truck or rail cars, and easily redeployed to a new location.

In summary, MSSIL addresses outer space supply chain challenges faced by non-traditional businesses, university innovation centers, and launch sites, enabling high-cadence payload integration, assembly, and processing.
